Robin Bacior’s brand of piano pop is hard to define. The songwriter pulls from a wide range of shifting folk, jazz, classical and rock influences (watch her 2015 opbmusic session). But one thing is for sure: the finished product is arresting.

The song, “Eyelids,” originally appeared on Bacior’s 2018 release, “Light It Moved Me,” a nine-song album with beautifully textured rhythms and horn arrangements that border at times on chamber pop. Here, Bacior performs the song at her Portland home in stripped-down fashion, which puts the spotlight on her graceful and subtly smokey voice.

“Eyelids” was recorded by Banana Stand Media on July 15, 2018. The video was shot and edited by Michael Reiersgaard. Audio for this video was recorded and mixed by Chris Andersen.
