We’ve teamed up with Banana Stand Media this spring to premiere a series of videos recorded in and around Portland featuring Oregon-based musicians. Like opbmusic, Banana Stand is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. In that decade, they’ve recorded and released nearly a hundred live concert albums from (mostly) local musicians and expanded rapidly into the realm of video production in recent years. Now, the DIY production company is one of the most prolific documentarians of Portland’s robust music scene.

The latest video in this series features a rowdy performance from Portland gothic roots rock band The Builders And The Butchers. This track, “All Turn to Fire,” comes from their 2017 release “The Spark” where it was divided into two separate songs (Part 1 and Part 2).  Here, the band plays the full, uninterrupted eight minute piece in front of a live audience at Doug Fir Lounge.

The Builders and The Butchers are currently on tour in Germany and Switzerland.

“All Turn To Fire” was recorded on August 8, 2016. The video features footage from camera operators Michael McInerney, Darren Hartman, Guy Wagner, Sam Smith, Brian T. Baker, Megan Boaglio, Jesse Andrew Clark, Matthew Bauer, Isaiah H. Brown and Michael Reiersgaard, and was directed by Michael McInerney. Audio for this video recorded and mixed by Adam Harney and mastered by Chris Andersen.
