Every month this year, opbmusic presents songs recorded live at the Pickathon Woods Stage. These videos are hand-picked by opbmusic to showcase some of the festival’s most exciting performances.
This is the first video produced from the 2018 festival. And while Pickathon is an exceedingly eclectic event, indie rock is at its core. With that in mind, I can’t think of a better way to kick things off than with a good old-fashioned guitar jam.
On the final day of Pickathon in early August, Aussie Jen Cloher and her incredibly tight live band turned in one of the best performances of the weekend among the trees of the Woods Stage. It was capped by this extended version of “Analysis Paralysis.” The song, which appeared on Cloher’s self-titled album, showcases her snarling, almost spoken word vocals and also features a brilliant turn from Courtney Barnett on lead guitar.
“Jen Cloher” was released in 2017 via Milk! Records.
Cloher is currently on tour in the UK and Europe.
