  • The Oregon Department of Human Services released a report last week that offered a grim look at the state's child welfare system. Of 101 cases reviewed, social workers incorrectly determined children were safe in 47. Now, a bill has been proposed in hopes of improving the system. Senator Sara Gelser and Sarah Stewart, Deputy Director for the Kids First Child Abuse Intervention Center in Lane County, join us.
  • Former Portland city commissioner Steve Novick says city hall is broken. But he has some ideas on how to fix it. We'll talk about his recent article in Willamette Week.
  • When Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Klamath Falls was built in the 1920s, its builders constructed an alcove for a pipe organ. That space remained empty until last month, when the church was finally able to afford and install one. Matt Hoffman, director of music for Sacred Heart Catholic Church, joins us to talk about the church's new acquisition.
