As more states legalize recreational marijuana, a brand new industry is emerging and it's an industry that needs qualified workers in a diverse array of positions — growers, processors, marketing professionals, chemists, money management, and the list goes on. It's not always easy to find people to fill those positions and that's where Kara Bradford comes in. She works with recruiters around the country to find professionals with a variety of skill sets for companies that are just getting started in the marijuana industry.
Bradford is based in Seattle and on July 1, her company, Viridian Staffing, opened a second office in Portland. She's speaking at the Cannabis Creative Conference — an industry event going on in Portland this week.
