Editor's Note: The Loyal Legion opened on July 10th, but closed following a liquor license dispute. Huffman says he hopes the beer hall will re-open in a few weeks pending the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's decision.

The Loyal Legion, a Portland 99-tap beer hall, has recently opened on July 10. The bar will only serve Oregon-brewed beers and has something else unique to it. Owner Kurt Huffman says this will be a "no tip" bar. Servers will have a starting wage of $18 per hour, while kitchen staff will begin at $15 per hour.

We will talk to Huffman about his decision to get rid of tipping and Portland's changing restaurant culture.
