Randy Simmons is leaving his job as deputy director of the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board after spearheading the state's rule-making process for recreational marijuana. Simmons told the Seattle Times he got tired of the battles over integrating recreational and medical marijuana markets.

Simmons will step down at the end of the month to take a job with the Washington Department of Revenue. We'll ask him what advice he has for Oregon officials embarking on the challenge of regulating recreational pot.
