We spend the hour talking about the latest book by Portland author Sallie Tisdale, who is also a registered nurse and a Buddhist. In “Advice for Future Corpses (and Those Who Love Them),” she draws on both of these deep wells of experience to explore her own aversion to death and what she’s discovered over decades of caring for dying people and their families, as well as losing people close to her.

Tisdale is reading at Powells on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
