  • Vancouver’s Clark College has been beset by racial tension and unrest recently. Now it’s undertaking a new effort to make students of color feel comfortable and attract a more diverse student body. OPB’s southwest Washington correspondent Molly Solomon shares what she’s learned in her in-depth series on the college.

  • A trio of academic writers teamed up to concoct an elaborate hoax. Over the past year, they submitted papers to academic journals parodying what they call “grievance studies.” Some of the papers with titles such as “Human Reactions to Rape Culture and Queer Performativity at Urban Dog Parks in Portland, Oregon,” were accepted and published, despite the fact that they were not based on real academic research. PSU assistant professor Peter Boghossian and his colleagues James Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose describe themselves as “left-wing” but say they want to expose what they see as a problematic trend in the humanities. James Lindsay and Peter Boghossian join us to tell us more.

  • This week, we have one-on-one interviews with each of the three major party candidates for Governor to hear how each of them would approach the major issues facing Oregon right now. We start with Republican state representative Knute Buehler.
