Reporter Anna King has lived in the vicinity of the Hanford nuclear reservation and the Tri-Cities for more than a dozen years, and actively covered the site for the last eight years as the Richland-based reporter for OPB News. Her new series, “Daughters of Hanford,” which launches this week, profiles some women from the area whose stories she hasn’t had a chance to tell. We’ll talk to her about her series, and the Hanford “daughter” who King first profiles, a 67-year-old woman who used to work at Hanford named Susan Leckband.

Editor’s note: You can hear the story on OPB radio during All Things Considered, today at 4:44 pm.
