Evictions in Rockwood Spark Controversy

Nonprofit groups and residents are accusing Templeton Property Management, which oversees 11 apartment complexes in Gresham, of unfairly evicting residents in an effort to decrease crime and increase property values, according to a recent Gresham Outlook article. The piece outlines complaints from people who claim they are being “pushed out” of their homes. The stories mirror similar trends in places like Vancouver, WA., where neighborhoods are filled with residents who’ve left North and Northeast Portland due to a lack of affordable housing options.

We talk to Jodi Weinberger, a reporter for the Gresham Outlook, about what this means for Rockwood.
