Leaders of a Hispanic group in Pasco, Washington are calling for a federal justice department investigation into the fatal police shooting of Antonio Zambrano-Montes on February 10. Zambrano-Montes had been throwing rocks at a busy intersection. An investigation team looking into the incident determined he was not carrying a knife or a gun.

The story has drawn national attention, and even some comparison to the fatal police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.

Last Saturday, an estimated 700 people protested the shooting in Pasco. Zambrano-Montes’ family is filing a $25 million dollar lawsuit against the city. OPB News reporter Anna King joins us for the latest developments in the case.
