KBOO

  • We explore the creation of the community radio station KBOO fifty years ago, its role in the media and cultural landscape, and how that role has changed over time. Our guests are longtime KBOO Volunteer Coordinator, Ani Haines, and KBOO Development Director, Becky Meiers.
  • We speak with Venus and Terrence Hayes, the mother and cousin of Quanice Hayes. They hand-delivered a letter to Portland City Hall last week declaring their intent to sue the city over Quanice’s death. It came almost a year to the day after the African-American teen was shot and killed by a Portland police officer.
