Jes Burns, OPB/EarthFix

  • EarthFix reporter Jes Burns explored the competing interests of fish, fowl, and farms on the Klamath Wildlife Refuges in Southern Oregon.
  • A mobile clinic funded by a Pinot Noir auction is providing health care to migrant and seasonal workers in Oregon’s vineyards. We talk to Leda Garside, services manager for the !Salud! program, and Jose Reyna, a physical therapist who partners with the mobile clinic.
  • Oregon State University researcher Harold Bae joins us to discuss what we know about the genetic contribution in aging and what’s known as “exceptional longevity.” His latest study was published this month in the Journals of Gerontology: Biological Sciences.
