New Immigration Law

Pete Springer/OPB

In June, President Obama announced an executive order allowing deferred deportation for young immigrants in the U.S. To be eligible, applicants must be 30 or younger, have lived in the country for five years, and have come to the country under the age of 16. They must also be students, high school graduates, or honorably discharged veterans. Today is the first day young immigrants can apply for this legal status.

Are you applying for a reprieve from deportation? How will the new immigration policy affect you?
