  • The number of parents opting out of vaccinating their kids before kindergarten has been steadily climbing. In 2015 the Oregon legislature passed a law aimed at lowering the vaccine opt-out rate, but it doesn’t appear to be working. Currently 7.5 percent of Oregon’s kindergartners have received non-medical exemptions.*

 

  

  • A year after the TriMet attack, we sit down with Destinee Mangum and her mother, Dijuana Hudson. Mangum is one of the two teenagers who say they were harassed by a man who, moments later, stabbed three men. Two of the men died.
