The Center for Biological Diversity is suing the Environmental Protection Agency over the impacts of ocean acidity on shellfish off of the Oregon and Washington coasts. The lawsuit will be heard Thursday in Seattle. Carbon emissions absorbed by the ocean have been changing the pH of the water and making it difficult for shellfish to create their shells.  We will be joined by George Waldbusser assistant professor of ocean ecology and Biogeochemistry at Oregon State University.
