  • The publisher of the Nugget Newspaper in the Central Oregon town of Sisters recently sold the paper to new owners. We hear about why community newspapers are thriving, while bigger print publications are struggling to remain solvent. Joining us are Nugget editor Jim Cornelius and Tom Mullen, one of the Nugget’s new owners.



  • A few weeks ago, Crook County leaders voted unanimously in favor of a plan that aims to give locals more say in how federal lands are managed. The Natural Resource Policy favors private property interests and extractive uses of public lands. Some residents feel the policy is too narrowly focused and does not represent the diverse interests of the community. Crook County Judge Seth Crawford and Michelle McSwain of the Ochoco Forest Restoration Collaborative join us.
