  • Pacific University political science professor Jules Boykoff recaps the highs and lows coming out of the Winter Olympic Games that just wrapped up in South Korea.

  • Meth-related deaths in Oregon have reached record high levels, now surpassing rates from the early 2000s and matching the death rates for prescription opioids. Multnomah County public health officer Dr. Paul Lewis joins us to talk about meth use in the Portland-area. Jan Kubic of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office tells us what it’s like for law enforcement.

  • After 17 people were killed in a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, teachers and students have taken center stage in calls for tougher gun control. Suzanne Cohen, the president of the Portland Association of Teachers and a Stoneman Douglas alumnus, joins us.
