Oregon Legislature Kicks Off 2014 Session

John Rosman /OPB

Oregon lawmakers kick off a short 2014 session Monday. They have 35 days to address a laundry list of issues including background checks for gun sales, marijuana legalization, and the elusive I-5 bridge replacement (aka the Columbia River Crossing). There will also be some discussion about Cover Oregon, though it remains to be seen what the legislature can do at this point to fix the state’s broken health insurance exchange.

OPB reporter Chris Lehman joins us with the buzz from Salem on the opening day of the 2014 legislative session.
