Rescuing Climbers From Mt. Hood

Portland Mountain Rescue helped save three climbers who fell on Mt. Hood this weekend. The rescue effort was one of over a dozen missions that the group organizes on a yearly basis. Mt. Hood is the most popular snow-covered summit to climb in North America. But climbers are not always prepared, and the consequences can be deadly. On average, one person dies on the mountain every year.

We’ll hear more about what happened this weekend on the mountain and how similar incidents can be prevented.
