  • Fifth-grader Dom Peters was recently elected Oregon’s first ever Kid Governor. He plans to tackle bullying in schools during his year-long term. It’s part of a statewide civics program which aims to get youth involved in representative democracy.

  • The GOP tax bill Congress is currently considering could have a drastic effect on graduate students, and Oregon universities are no exception. We hear from Margaret Everett, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Portland State University.

  • One of the largest Christmas tree farms in the nation is located in Oregon. Each year, McKenzie Farms sends nearly 800,000 trees to locations around the U.S., Asia and Mexico. The farm’s owner McKenzie “Ken” Cook talks with us about the Christmas tree business.
