What's Next For Migrants Arriving In Greece?

People fleeing conflict in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries have come to Europe in huge numbers. European countries have responded in markedly different ways, from accepting 800,000 total migrants by the end of the year, to closing off their borders.

There are also thousands of people making the journey from southeastern Turkey to Greece. But when they arrive via the Greek island of Lesbos, many migrants find a host country that currently lacks the financial resources to care for them effectively.

To learn more, we’ll speak with Portland-based photojournalist John Rudoff, who traveled to the Greek island of Lesbos to document the ongoing crisis.
