  • Project Wildfire in Oregon’s Deschutes County shows how individual homeowners can work together to reduce wildfire risk. Gregory Scruggs wrote a New York Times article about the program. He joins us to talk about the successes and challenges of this voluntary effort.

  • The Oregonian’s Samantha Swindler was one of the only journalists covering the case of Amy Fabbrini and Eric Ziegler, a couple in Central Oregon with low IQs that just won a four-year legal fight to get custody of their two sons. We talk to Swindler about the story and to Bob Joondeph with Disability Rights Oregon about how common the couple’s story is and the specific changes to the system that advocates would like to see.
