Will Self-Serve Gas Come to Oregon and New Jersey?

The Oregon State House voted unanimously to pass HB 3011, which would allow self-service gas stations in some rural Oregon counties. Meanwhile, New Jersey, the only other state that mandates full-service pumps, is considering repealing its ban on self-service.

We talk to Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-Ontario) about the bill he’s sponsoring in Oregon, and Sal Risalvato, head of a New Jersey organization of gas station owners, about why his group is changing its stance from opposing self-service to supporting it.
