  • Though the student body in Washington schools is becoming more diverse, the teachers at these schools are still overwhelmingly white. Studies have shown that this can have lasting impacts on students of color. Now, some schools are trying to close the gap. We talk with The Columbian education reporter Kate Gillespie about her joint series with Dahlia Bazzaz, a reporter for The Seattle Times.
