Host, Think Out Loud
Dave Miller is the host of Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily talk show, "Think Out Loud."
Before coming to OPB, Dave was the senior producer of "Open Source," a nationally syndicated radio show based at the NPR affiliate station WGBH in Boston. He began his radio career as a documentary producer at Sound Portraits Productions and StoryCorps. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as the online host of the show.
His stories have aired on NPR's "All Things Considered," "Morning Edition" and "Weekend Edition Saturday."
Dave graduated from Harvard University with a degree in English.
Sarah Jane Rothenfluch
Executive Editor, News
Sarah Jane Rothenfluch is the executive editor of news for Oregon Public Broadcasting and the executive producer of OPB's weekly arts radio show, "State of Wonder."
Sarah was a part of OPB's daily talk show, "Think Out Loud," including many years as executive producer, from when the show launched in 2008 until early 2015. She moved to Portland from San Diego where she worked for the NPR and PBS affiliate, KPBS. During her three years there, she worked as the station's special projects producer and as the senior producer of the daily show, "These Days."
Originally from Canada, Sarah spent a number of years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a producer for numerous national shows, including "This Morning," "Sunday Morning" and "Richler on Radio." She also spent five years as a television field producer for "TVOntario."
Sage Van Wing
Executive Producer, Think Out Loud
Sage Van Wing is the executive producer of Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily talk show, "Think Out Loud."
She has produced daily news programs at other NPR affiliate stations Vermont Public Radio, KUOW in Seattle and KQED in San Francisco.
She graduated from Stanford University with a degree in anthropology.
While in Vermont, she became an expert sledder. While in Seattle, she learned to bike in the rain. Sage hopes someday to become an expert taxidermist.
Senior Producer, Think Out Loud
Allison Frost is the senior producer and occasional host of Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily talk show, "Think Out Loud."
She's worn a variety of hats at OPB, including announcer, web producer, host, managing editor and senior producer. Before OPB, she led a local community radio station in Fresno, California, tutored English and sold books.
Allison holds a degree in speech communication from California State University, Fresno, and a masters in journalism and communication from the University of Oregon.
She likes to play with and blog about her two young children in and around Portland where she and her husband make their home.
Producer, Think Out Loud
Julie Sabatier is a producer for Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily talk show, "Think Out Loud."
Julie joined the "Think Out Loud" team in 2008. She was also the creator and host of the public radio show and podcast "Rendered" until the show retired in 2015. Julie previously worked as the staff writer for Just Out, reported for Willamette Week, served as podcast producer for Bitch Magazine and produced stories for "The Splendid Table," NPR and "99% Invisible."
Julie graduated from Oberlin College with a bachelor’s degree in English. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland.
Producer, Think Out Loud
Steven Kray is the sound supervisor at Oregon Public Broadcasting.
He started his career at a small market television station, running the audio console and creating graphics for television station KFXB in Dubuque, Iowa, when he was 16 years old. Steven earned a degree in recording engineering at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, before becoming the sound editor at AMS Pictures in Dallas, Texas, from 2000 to 2005.
Steven has been involved in numerous award winning projects at OPB. He won a regional Emmy Award for his audio work on "Waterfall Kayaking," an episode on OPB's outdoor documentary show Oregon Field Guide.
Steven is also an avid record collector and early computer enthusiast. In 2015, he competed and won in a national Atari video game tournament. In his free time he laughs it up with his wife and two daughters. Saturday nights 10pm-Midnight he is the host of the funky radio show "The Drop Shop" on KMHD.
