This video is not currently available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Maynard White Owl Lavadour learned how to do traditional American Indian beadwork from his grandmother as he grew up on the Umatilla Reservation. Now he’s a professional. Thousands of beads and weeks of work go into a single piece, whether it’s a bag, a cradle board, or medallions to go on a necklace.

First Broadcast: 2001
