Return To Mount Hood's Glacier Caves

The spectacular glacier caves that “Oregon Field Guide” documented in 2013 have all but disappeared.

But why? Is it global warming, or is something else at play?

“Oregon Field Guide” returns to the dangerous backcountry slopes of Mount Hood with a team of scientists to investigate. New passages have formed within the ice and with new technology, science is revealing some surprising new information about what causes glacier caves to form.
