I came to Oregon in the 1970s and fell in love with the Eugene Saturday Market.
It amazed me that so many people could earn a living with their own handicrafts. And that tradition continues today.
We caught up with Kelly Durian, a Eugene artist who makes bow ties and suspenders by hand. Using her own designs, she makes a full range of bow ties, from serious to frivolous, for grownups and babies and even dogs.
Oh, and if you don’t know how to tie a bow tie, she’ll show you that too.
