The program facing cuts is Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF. It provides finacial and social assistance for low-income families. Now, individuals receiving funds from TANF can do so for 60 months. By reducing the time-limit to 18 months, Oregon would save $11.6 million over the next two years.
Have you ever recieved funding from TANF? Do you work with TANF recipiments? What impacts would these cuts make?
