Langhorne Slim stops by with his trio for versions of songs from the new album, Be Set Free, recorded in Portland with Chris Funk producing and a host of familiar local names in the mix. He talks about the recording of the record, his Rose City rapport, and the adventure that was playing the 7th inning stretch in front of 40,000 Phillies fans last summer.

Langhorne and the band play Sasquatch later this month before returning to the area this summer for Pickathon.

Listen to our first session with Langhorne Slim, recorded in July of 2007. Included is an early version of the new album’s title track, then known as “Get Set Free.”
