- Volunteer Call-out Program
- Umpqua Bank generated $1,885 in a single evening in March of 2011 by calling their friends and family members. Thank you, Umpqua Bank. Would your group like to participate? Find out how below.
- The Call-Out Program encourages Membership Drive volunteers to call their co-workers, family and friends to ask them to support OPB. Individuals and groups participate in this program and OPB recognizes the top 10 call out generators each year. Also, prizes are awarded during each shift to the volunteers who obtain call out pledges. In the fiscal year 2010-2011 these personal calls raised almost $20,000 for OPB! OPB Salutes our Volunteer of the Quarter, Kyle Neumann
Kyle Neumann started volunteering with OPB in 2011 and has been racking up the hours ever since. Kyle helps with all sorts of tasks for Oregon Field Guide and Oregon Art Beat. He started out as an intern and decided to stick around as a volunteer. On a recent "Collier Glacier" story for Oregon Field Guide, Kyle carried the heaviest packs, made sure staff had the tripod and everything else they needed whenever they needed it, and climbed Little Brother (7,800 feet) fully loaded with gear. He was tireless and had a great attitude. And at the end of it all, he was eager to come along again the next time we do a backpacking shoot.
Kyle is amazing and we are so very grateful for his help. We simply could not have managed this very difficult shoot without him!
