Readers of all ages gathered at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall last week to hear author Heidi W. Durrow talk about her debut novel, The Girl Who Fell From the Sky. It was the culminating event of Everybody Reads, the Multnomah County Library's community reading project.
As part of this year's Everybody Reads program, OPB partnered with Multnomah County Library and Literary Arts to collect stories inspired by Durrow's book. Attendees at the event stopped by OPB's video booth to share their responses to the book and how racial identity has played a role in their life stories.
