Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, is bringing the top Republican House leaders to Wilsonville Monday for a pricey fundraiser.

Outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who is in line to replace Ryan if the Republicans keep the House, will travel to Wilsonville for the event, according to an invitation obtained by OPB.

Tickets range from $2,500 to $25,000, and there are also reportedly other fundraising activities involved in their visit. According to the invitation, proceeds go to four committees: Walden’s personal campaign fund, his leadership political action committee, the National Republican Campaign Committee and the Republican National Committee.

This is not unusual for Walden, the only Republican in the Oregon congressional delegation. Over the last several years, both Ryan and his predecessor, John Boehner, have regularly trekked to Oregon to join Walden with well-heeled donors. Often the events are in the populous Portland area instead of in his district in southern and eastern Oregon.

Walden previously chaired the House campaign committee and is one of the chamber’s biggest fundraisers. Just this week, according to Politico, he gave $1 million out of his campaign accounts for a committee set up by McCarthy and Vice President Mike Pence.

That committee, dubbed Protect the House, is part of the effort by Republicans to maintain their majority in the face of projections showing that Democrats could gain the majority in the November elections.

Aides to Walden could not be reached for comment. The location of the fundraiser was not disclosed on the invitation.
