Oakridge, about 50 miles southeast of Eugene, has been without power since late last week.

It's near where an Amtrak train was stalled for 36 hours last weekend.

The city of Lowell regained power around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Lane Electric is still working to restore power to outlying areas like Westfir and High Prairie. It said approximately 6,000 of its service members were still without power as of 9 a.m. Thursday.

Lane Electric said restoration for the whole service territory is estimated to take seven to 10 more days.

Highway 58, Oakridge's main thoroughfare, is still closed for a span of over 70 miles from Lowell to US 97.
