The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an economic recession, but it’s different from what economists are used to seeing. In March, the country saw a sharp increase in unemployment and a severe recession, but economic trends have shifted since then. We speak with Josh Lehner, an economist with the state of Oregon, about how the state’s economy is faring 10 months into the pandemic.
