The musical “Hamilton” is in the midst of its second run in Portland. The award-winning show, which previously visited Oregon during a successful 2018 tour, got off to a strong start last week with a series of sold-out dates. However, the production hit a snag this past weekend.

A flu outbreak among the play’s cast forced the cancellation of two performances on Saturday. Shortly after that announcement, Sunday’s scheduled performances were also canceled.

But it appears the show will go on.

According to the Broadway in Portland website, the hit musical is set to resume production Tuesday evening at Keller Auditorium in downtown Portland. Theatergoers who missed out on Saturday and Sunday’s canceled performances are urged to hold onto their tickets. Broadway in Portland will announce rescheduled dates at a later date via email. In the meantime, people who have questions can call 503-417-0573.

Broadway in Portland’s presentation of “Hamilton” is scheduled to end May 1.
