A man is in custody following a shooting involving Tualatin police in Sherwood on Sunday. No one was struck by gunfire, but the incident left one Sherwood officer and the suspect in the hospital with minor injuries.
Tigard police responded Sunday afternoon to reports of a reckless driver driving through Tigard and Sherwood. 911 callers reported that he had rammed his vehicle through a storage facility gate and then fired shots at 21900 S.W. Langer Farms Parkway in Sherwood.

As the man fled the storage facility he was confronted by a Sherwood police officer. Police said he then proceeded to put his vehicle in reverse, ramming and injuring the officer.
A responding Tualatin police officer shot towards the suspect before the man surrendered.
The suspect was identified Monday as Travis Blumhagen, 41, of Salem. He is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on three counts of attempted murder and one count of assault. Tigard police said further charges are possible following a grand jury hearing.
During his arraignment Monday, Blumhagen was appointed a public defender and ordered to remain in custody.
His next court date is July 14.
