Two La Grande High School students have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after threatening a school shooting earlier this week.
The La Grande police department launched an investigation after school staff reported the threats on Monday. The investigation revealed that the students were planning a "Columbine" type attack targeting students, school staff and law enforcement.
The names of the juveniles are not being released, but the police department said the parents of the involved students are fully cooperating with the investigation. The teen suspects are being detained at a juvenile facility while waiting for arraignment.
