A Bend group is hoping to take a case against Oregon State University-Cascades to the state Supreme Court.

The group Truth In Site first challenged the OSU-Cascades plan for an initial 10-acre campus in West Bend last year.

The case has already been heard by the state Land Use Board of Appeals and the state Court of Appeals. Both bodies ruled in favor of OSU-Cascades in both appeals.

The Supreme Court decides to hear only about 7 percent of the petitions that are filed.
The court will likely decide by the end of January whether to review Truth In Site's petition.

OSU-Cascades began campus construction in July, despite the legal challenges. The university says the new location is on track to open in fall 2016.
