It's been a record-breaking season for art world heavy hitters like the Oregon Symphony and the Portland Art Museum. While that's welcome news for arts directors who had to cut staff and tighten budgets during the recession, no one's letting their guard down just yet. Oregon has long ranked near the bottom nationwide in terms of support for the arts, and a recent Arts Tax audit paired with news of the StanCorp buyout and the dissolution of Business for Culture & the Arts has fundraisers on their toes.
GUESTS:
- Scott Showalter: CEO and president of the Oregon Symphony
