The Oregon Outback bike ride has come to an end.

The event consisted of a 364-mile bike ride, beginning in Klamath Falls and ending at the conjunction of the Deschutes and Columbia rivers. Over 200 bicyclists participated in the event this past Memorial Day weekend.

One of the event's founders, Donnie Kolb, announced the cancellation of Oregon Outback on his website last week. According to his post, there were numerous incidents this year of cyclists not treating the route with respect and not following "Leave No Trace" ethics.

We talk with Kolb about the end of the Oregon Outback ride and the ethics behind Oregon "bikepacking."
