Jack Forrest is a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in journalism and political science and news editor of the university newspaper, the “Daily Emerald.” He says he thought he was informed about COVID-19 and following the guidelines to keep himself safe — until he tested positive for the coronavirus and came down with severe symptoms. He joins us to talk about the essay he wrote about his experience, “Getting COVID Isn’t Cool,” and what he wishes he’d done differently.
