Last Monday morning, Clackamas High School principal Nate Muñoz found the front doors on campus plastered with Trump stickers and beans, widely interpreted to be an expression of hate directed at Latinx people. Muñoz posted a public video on Instagram addressed to the school community, denouncing the act and expressing support for Latinx students and families. We talk with two parents of students at the high school, Prisca Diaz and Shannon McArthur, who fundraised for a catered lunch for CHS staff, provided by Cha-Cha-Cha, co-owned by Diaz. The North Clackamas School District declined to make principal Muñoz available for an interview, but his public remarks can be seen here.
