As Portland recovers from the worst of a dangerous heat wave, many other parts of Oregon continue to face scorching temperatures. Excessive heat warnings are still in effect for much of the state through the weekend.
Several southwest Oregon counties could continue to see temperatures up to 110 degrees through Thursday. In southeast Oregon, the triple-digit temperatures continue through Saturday evening.
And from the Columbia River Gorge and Central Oregon, all the way east into Idaho, excessive heat warnings are still in effect until Sunday night. High temperatures could get up to 118 degrees in some some spots.
Most of Oregon should see slightly cooler temperatures next week, with overnight relief as lows dip down into the 60s.
Northwest Oregon will see a slight cooldown even sooner, with temps in the 90s or lower beginning Tuesday.
