Hundreds of Wells Fargo employees in Oregon will be out of a job this December.
The company announced Tuesday it plans to cut more than 400 employees at multiple locations across Oregon. The layoffs will affect staff at call centers in Hillsboro and Salem as well as its downtown office in Portland.
According to multiple notices filed with the state, the workers will be laid off by Dec. 26. Employees will receive 60 days’ advance notice.
Customer and loan servicing representatives are among the positions being cut. Others include administrative and technology jobs.
Impacted employees will receive severance benefits based on their years of service, according to Wells Fargo.
The announcement follows a notice issued by the financial giant last December, when it warned of 700 Oregon layoffs.
