Two new locations in Salem have been flagged as measles exposure sites.
Health officials are warning people who visited the emergency waiting room at the Salem Health Hospital on March 16 between 6:10 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. may have been exposed to measles. People who visited the second floor of the Kaiser Permanente Skyline Medical Office on March 13 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. may also be at risk, officials said.
Officials with the Oregon Health Authority and Marion County are urging people who visited those locations during those timeframes to contact their health care provider immediately.
“The health care provider can determine whether you are immune to measles based on your vaccination record, age, or laboratory evidence of prior infection,” read a release from OHA.

Measles is highly contagious and can be deadly for sensitive groups, including children younger than 5 and pregnant people.
According to state data, there have been nine confirmed cases of measles across Oregon this year. Six were unvaccinated and three had an unknown vaccination status.
