Animal Collective Brings Experimental Pop To Portland

Baltimore experimental pop band Animal Collective delivered a mixture of sounds, color and light at the Roseland Theater.

The Baltimore experimental pop band Animal Collective, a group of four friends who have recorded together for the past 15 years, performed at the Roseland Theater Friday night.

Animal Collective warns its audiences beforehand that they might not hear what they expected to hear. But after listening for a second, the Portland crowd swayed with the band's high-pitched beats and became entranced by its psychedelic, hypnotizing tunes.
