Matthew Casebeer
Matthew was born in Salem, OR. He lived in Los Angeles for 10 years but came back to Oregon in mid-2009. When he and his wife arrived in Portland, he wanted to immerse himself in the vibrant local music scene. So, he sought out opbmusic and started DJing in March 2010. Matthew has always loved radio. He volunteered at KNRK during high school, hosted a music show for his college radio station (KSCR, Los Angeles), worked for a few commercial radio stations in Los Angeles (KBIG/KOST), and volunteered at a nonprofit station in Santa Monica (KCRW). Fascinated by the behind-the-scenes production, he was hooked once he started speaking into microphones and choosing music to play to the masses. Having a voice on opbmusic continues to give him that thrill and helps him discover great new music
